Role Summary

We are seeking a high-impact, strategically oriented Senior Electrical Engineer to lead as the technical authority on all electrical systems during design, construction, and commissioning. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience, effective verbal and written communication skills, and team-oriented, collaborative leadership. They must be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, partner-led delivery model, where coordination and foresight are key. Key Responsibilities

• Acts as the lead technical authority on all electrical systems during design, construction, and commissioning.

• Ensures safety, reliability, and compliance with electrical codes, standards, and startup requirements.

• Skilled at working in a start-up environment — hands-on, adaptable, and able to solve problems across disciplines (civil, mechanical, controls, IT).

• Balances visionary planning with practical execution (can both design and field-solve issues).

• Able to coordinate external contractors, vendors, and utilities, while protecting the company’s long-term technical and financial interests.

• Contributes to system resilience, cost efficiency, and scalability — building a template for future facilities.

 

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or related field.

• 8–10+ years of experience in electrical design, construction, and commissioning of mission-critical or industrial facilities (data centers, hospitals, semiconductor fabs, etc.).

• Demonstrated experience with medium-voltage distribution systems, switchgear, UPS, generators, and automatic transfer switches.

• Knowledge of electrical codes (NEC, IEC, NFPA, or regional equivalents) and safety regulations.

• Hands-on experience with design/build projects and fast-track construction.

• Strong skills in vendor/contractor coordination and reviewing electrical submittals/drawings.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain.

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.

• Experience with high-voltage substations and integration with utility providers.

• Knowledge of electrical power monitoring (EPMS), SCADA systems, and controls.

• Experience in start-up/commissioning processes for data centers, including load bank testing, sequence of operations, and redundancy validation.

• Ability to travel and manage multiple stakeholders across design, construction, and operations.

• Prior exposure to scaling a new data center program or first-build projects in a start-up or hyperscale environment.
