Casper, Wyo. (August 28, 2026) - Prometheus Hyperscale, an energy-first data center developer, and Mesa Power Solutions, which designs, builds, installs and services distributed power systems, today announced their intention to advance a proposed data center campus in Natrona County, Wyoming. The combination of Prometheus’ next-generation compute infrastructure with Mesa’s unmatched power generation capabilities could result in the development of Wyoming’s most advanced data center to date. Both companies are rooted in Wyoming, and see the state’s energy resources, permitting environment and skilled workforce as competitive advantages for powering the infrastructure required in the AI era. Prometheus Hyperscale has committed to prioritizing local workers and vendors as part of its Build Wyoming framework and it estimates the campus will increase Natrona County’s property tax base by nearly 70 percent.

Recently, Mesa announced its increased investment in domestic energy capabilities with the opening of a new manufacturing and administrative campus in Evansville, Wyoming. The investment aligns with the nation’s increased need for resilient, scalable and sustainable power solutions for utilities, data centers as well as commercial and industrial markets.

Loads this size need power faster than the grid can build it, and building that power here means the jobs, the supply chain, and the tax revenue stay in Wyoming.”
The companies may also evaluate similar collaborations at other sites in Wyoming and across the country.
