James Hannigan

James Hannigan is Vice President, Transmission and Utility Partnerships. He brings over twenty years of deep engineering and executive leadership experience in the utility sector to Prometheus. James specializes in de-risking power delivery, accelerating utility coordination, and ensuring projects are positioned for long-term scalability.
Previously, James served as VP of Transmission Engineering at Leidos where he was responsible for operational oversight, financial performance, portfolio management, capture management, and strategic and tactical planning for the organization. He is an established transmission and utility expert and has developed targeted technical training programs for major utilities. His experience brings a focus on interconnection and regulatory engagement, transmission strategy, identification of grid capacity constraints, and site due diligence to Prometheus.
A licensed engineer in multiple states and a licensed project management professional, James also holds a Masters degree in Civil Engineering.
James has a practical understanding of utility operations and is passionate about enabling responsible, resilient, and strategically planned power solutions to support the rapid growth of both transmission and digital infrastructures.
