Role Summary

We are seeking a Vice President of AI Infrastructure Development to serve as the execution quarterback across data center development projects. This senior leader will ensure that scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality are fully integrated and aligned across all project stakeholders — from early-stage site readiness through commissioning and turnover.

The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of technical data center expertise, financial acumen, and business leadership, with proven experience managing high-scale, mission-critical infrastructure delivery in partnership with EPC firms, engineers, and capital partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Leadership

    • Lead all phases of AI infrastructure development for multiple data center projects, from pre-construction planning through commissioning.

    • Support coordination between site acquisition, engineering, construction management, finance, and external partners.

    • Develop and grow a cohesive team that ensures infrastructure delivery across the Prometheus Hyperscale property portfolio.

  • Schedule and Scope Execution

    • Establish and maintain integrated master schedules, with critical path analysis and proactive risk mitigation.

    • Ensure timely design releases, permitting, procurement, and construction milestones.

    • Lead client design review, manage schedule focus and, ensure external partner readiness.

  • Budget & Financial Stewardship

    • Partner with internal finance and capital teams to monitor cost performance, payment schedules, and risk contingencies.

    • Own alignment and reporting to investors, contractor services, and field execution realities.

  • Stakeholder Management

    • Interface with EPC contractors, engineering firms, utilities, vendors, and local authorities to ensure transparency and alignment.

    • Serve as the voice of Prometheus during construction execution and investor updates.

  • Quality & Commissioning Oversight

    • Ensure quality assurance programs are implemented from day one, with field checks and commissioning support.

    • Drive adherence to design standards, availability/reliability targets, and safety protocols.

  • Reporting & Communication

    • Deliver executive-level progress updates, risk assessments, and scenario planning.

    • Maintain dashboards, tracking tools, and meeting cadences across internal and external teams.

 

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in mission-critical infrastructure, including hyperscale data centers or high-reliability industrial development.

  • Proven leadership managing large-scale, multi-phase projects with EPC or non-EPC models.

  • Strong working knowledge of MEP systems, data center topologies, commissioning processes, and independent power production coordination.

  • Experience with capital budgeting, cost control, and financial structuring.

  • Adept at navigating ambiguity while maintaining control and accountability across stakeholders.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (MBA or PE preferred).
